Understanding the Success Rate Metric
To provide high-quality virtual numbers to everyone, we have to prevent abuse on our network. When a user requests hundreds of numbers but cancels them without ever triggering an SMS, it locks up our SIM inventory. This prevents legitimate users from accessing those numbers.
To stop this, OTPDesk monitors your SMS Success Rate. This is the ratio of successfully received SMS codes versus canceled or timed-out orders.
Why Your Account Got Banned
Our automated systems will flag and temporarily suspend your account if your behavior matches bot-like inventory hoarding. You will receive a warning if:
- Your success rate drops below 10% after 50 consecutive orders.
- You continuously buy and instantly cancel numbers within 10 seconds to hunt for specific prefixes.
- Your API scripts are stuck in an infinite loop, generating thousands of unpaid orders.
How to Keep Your Account Safe
Maintaining a healthy account is easy if you follow basic business logic:
Fix your proxies: If 90% of your orders are timing out, the problem is not our numbers. The target app (like Tinder or WhatsApp) is likely detecting your IP address and refusing to send the SMS. Switch to high-quality residential proxies that match the country of the number you are buying.
Optimize API scripts: Do not request a new number until your bot is actually ready to trigger the SMS on the target app. If the app throws a rate-limit error, pause your script instead of blindly burning through OTPDesk numbers.
If your account is suspended, contact our support team. We will review your logs, help you fix your proxy issues, and lift the restriction.
